LegalWhat happens if you change your mind, if a kit turns up damaged, or if the film fails down the track.
Last updated 13 August 2026
Short version: unopened kit, 30 days, change of mind is fine and you cover the return postage. Wrong, damaged or faulty is on us, including postage both ways.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Everything below sits on top of those rights.
Changed your mind, or ordered the wrong car? Send it back within 30 days of delivery for a refund, as long as the kit is unused, unopened and in its original packaging with the seals intact.
Once a film sleeve is opened, the piece inside cannot be resold or reused, so opened kits are not returnable for change of mind. Sealed pieces from an otherwise opened kit are also not returnable, because a kit is sold as a set.
Tell us within 7 days of delivery if the kit arrived damaged or is not what you ordered. Email tech@accuguard.com.au with your order number and a photo of the packaging and the item.
If a piece is faulty, we replace it or refund it, whichever you prefer, and we cover the postage in both directions. If the fault is major, you choose between a refund and a replacement. If it is minor, we will repair or replace it within a reasonable time.
This one is not a legal right, it is just how we want to run things. Nick a piece, drop it in the driveway, or lose a corner to a gust of wind, and we would still rather you ended up with a finished car. Email support with your order number, tell us which panel and what happened, and we will work out the best way to get you a replacement piece.
The film carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, blistering and delamination under normal use. The warranty runs from your delivery date and applies to the original purchaser.
Email tech@accuguard.com.au with your order number, the date you fitted it, photos of the affected area in daylight, and a wider shot of the panel. We will come back to you as soon as we have looked at it, and we may ask for more photos or to see the piece.
Approved claims are resolved with replacement film for the affected panel. Labour is not covered, since you fit the kit yourself.
Please do not send anything back before you hear from us, because unlabelled returns are hard to match to an order.
Email tech@accuguard.com.au for anything about your kit or an install, or hello@accuguard.com.au for orders, privacy requests and everything else. The form on our support page reaches the same inbox, and we will arrange a call if a written answer is not enough.
